Bags that suits your body shape

Handbags are usually not given same importance as you give to the clothes. Women always choose the bags that fulfill their daily routine activities and looks amazing when carried.  But, you must know that choosing the handbag according to the body shape is as much important as choosing the right outfit. Getting the handbag according to the figure not only looks stylish but also polishes your style.
Here are some of the guidelines to get the handbag that flatters your body shape.

Shape

The shape of the bag should be opposite to the shape of your body. If you are thin and tall, get a rounded hobo bag or a slouchy bag. It will add some curves to your figure. On the other hand, if you are short and heavy, choose a handbag that is tall and rectangular or long and sleek like a clutch. In general, more round the figure is, more structured the bag should be. Rectangular or square handbags with soft leathers and fabrics will do the task well.

Scale

Handbag won’t make you look thinner exactly but it can flatter your body shape. A woman who is 6 feet tall and a plus size would look weighed down with small hand-held bag. A woman with size zero would look overwhelmed by a slouchy bag. A shoulder bag length highlights the area which comes near to its bottom end and bag that ends around the waist (mid-torso) will highlight the curves of your waist. Busty women should avoid cross body bags because the strap cuts right across the bust line.

Some other tips you should keep in mind while buying a handbag:

  •    Take your time in a store and choose the handbag that look good on you.
  •    There are plenty of  alternatives available in the market so don’t get tempted for a bag that doesn’t suits you.
  •  Always pick the handbag that serve the daily purpose. If you carry a lot of things with you, small vintage bag won’t suit you.
